Death toll in Panay rises to 19

According to recent data from the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (RDRRMC), a total 19 fatalities have been recorded across Panay as a result of Typhoon Ursula. They note 13 deaths were reported in Iloilo, with four recorded in Capiz and two in Aklan.
Meanwhile, as of Friday morning, a National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council report showed there are currently a total of 28 casualties across the entire Visayas region.
Storm-related deaths were reported in Eastern Samar, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Biliran, Samar, and Cebu.
The RDRRMC also noted, there are currently eight individuals reported missing, two from Capiz and six from Iloilo.
In addition, several areas across the region declared states of calamity including Aklan and Capiz. Also making such declarations were Kalibo, Aklan; Pandan, Antique; and Balasan, Carles, Batad, and Concepcion in Iloilo./WDJ
