Iloilo report damages

According to a partial assessment by the Department of Education-Region VI (DepEd-6), a total 28 schools across northern Iloilo reported damages as a result of Typhoon Ursula. The report revealed 95 classrooms were found to have suffered damages in Carles, Estancia, Concepcion, Lemery, Sara, Batad, Balasan, and San Dionisio.
“This is just a partial assessment, our assessment is still ongoing,” explained DepEd-6 information officer Lea Belleza.
The affected schools reported damages to ceilings, doors, windows, roofs, stages, fences, gutters, canopies, and trusses.
Meanwhile, the storm also claimed the life of Rose Mae S. De Asis, a Grade 10 student at Jose Monfort National High School in Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo. In addition, as of press time, her younger brother, Roel S. de Asis, Jr., remains missing./WDJ
