A motorcyclist was killed, while his live-in partner and child were injured, after their vehicle was sideswiped Thursday night by bus along the national highway in Bago City’s Barangay Lag-asan. Police identified the fatality as 33-year-old Jay-ar Toledo, while the injured were 32-year-old Edfe Hilario and four-year-old Dhallact Toledo.
Bago City police said the bus, which was driven by 44-year-old Jerry Pasague, was heading south and made a left turn when it sideswiped the motorcycle in question.
The victims were reportedly dragged for another five meters before coming to a stop.
The family was rushed to the Bago City District Hospital for treatment but the elder Toledo was declared dead on arrival by hospital staff.
Pasague, meanwhile, surrendered himself to police after the incident./DGB, WDJ
