Alab Pilipinas ends 2019
on four-game win run
As the calendar comes to a close, San Miguel Alab Pilipinas is the top team in the 2018-2019 Asean Basketball League.
The Filipinos stretched their streak to four in a row after edging out very game home team Formosa Dreamers, 100-99, over the weekend at Changhua Stadium in Taiwan.
This win run comes after the Philippines dropped its season-opener.
Now with Sam Deguara taking care of the inside, Nick King and Khalif Wyatt taking charge from the wings, and Jason Brickman taking his time setting everybody up, however, Alab has nudged ahead of Mono Vampire for first-place in the standings.
The three world imports came through anew in this one with Deguara pounding in 20 points and nine rebounds while King and Wyatt poured in 19 and 17 markers, respectively.
Brickman starred for the locals with another double-double of 12 points and 12 assists.
Following their latest win, the Filipinos now get a two-week break before their next assignment up against the Wolf Warriors on January 5.
