Renz Rosia won a battle of Negrense boxers over the weekend following his unanimous decision victory over Aston Palicte at the Manila Arena. The Cadiz City native’s win served as a comeback after losing to Thai boxer Karoon Jarupianlerd last September.
Rosia was the aggressor early on as he pummeled Palicte with combination hits. His opponent from Bago City tried to keep pace but the eventual winner proved to be too dominant.
With the victory, the Rosia improved to a 16-9-1 win-loss-draw record with eight knockout wins; while Palicte dropped to a 25-4-1 record, including 21 stoppage wins.
Meanwhile, in the undercard, Sipalay City boxer Glenn Bismanos settled for a technical draw with Jomar Paliwen, while Jomar Borbon of Pontevedra, Capiz bowed to Kristian Hernandez./ASC, WDJ
