Around P9.1 million worth of illegal drugs were seized in a buy-bust operation over the weekend at Bangga Subay in Bacolod City’s Barangay Banago. The suspects arrested following the operation were identified as 22-year-old Sunny ‘Blot’ Capa of Purok Mahimulaton in the said barangay; along with 20-year-old Ely Lorence ‘Toto Long’ Sazon, also from the same purok.
Police Station 3 chief, Police Major Ruel Culanag, said they have been conducting surveillance on the suspects prior to the operation.
The law enforcement official said Capa is considered a “high-value target” as he had previously surrendered to police for drug offenses.
While a bulk of drugs were recovered from the suspect’s possession, he claimed the drugs were planted by police. Meanwhile, Sazon admitted to using illegal drugs.
Operatives recovered a total 10 heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 610 grams and worth P9,150,000, along with the P1,000 buy-bust money and a purse.
