NOPSSCEA named overall champions

The Negros Occidental Private Schools Sports, Cultural, and Educational Association (NOPSSCEA) was crowned overall champions of Palarong Panlalawigan 2019, which came to a close last week. The organization, which competed as Area 8, won a total 115 gold, 84 silver, and 46 bronze medals.
“This serves as an inspiration to all board members, administrators, and the athletes themselves,” said NOPSSCEA president Mark Molina. “As long as we are champions, as long as we have winnings, as long as we have the dream, NOPSSCEA will continue to soar.”
Meanwhile, Area 4, which represented Bago City, La Carlota City, Pulupandan, Valladolid, San Enrique, and Pontevedra, came in second with a total medal tally of 66 gold, 47 silver, and 41 bronze medals.
Winners at the Palarong Panlalawigan qualify to represent Negros Occidental at the the 2020 Western Visayas Regional Athletic Association Meet, which is scheduled to run from February 15 to 22 in Makato, Aklan./ASC, WDJ
