Magikland, the first outdoor theme park in the Visayas, recently welcomed nine Efegenio Lizares National High School senior high school students as the first batch in the attraction’s work exposure program. The program came about following the signing of an agreement between Magikland owner, Aton Land and Leisure Inc., and the school.
Negros Occidental third district Rep. Francisco Benitez, who was present for the signing, called the program “an opportunity for both schools and the tourism industry to learn more skills required so that service level can be further improved.”
The amusement park, which is located in Silay City’s Barangay Guinhalaran, held a series of soft openings earlier this year.
A total of 12 initial attractions were up and running for the soft opening include a “Magic Bike,” “Happy Swing,” carousel, “Crazy Surf,” “Crazy Trail,” “Disk’O,” sky tower, and a 25-meter high Ferris wheel known as “The Silay Eye.”
The food court and kiosks were also in operation./WDJ
