The administration of Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson will prioritize three major areas next year. According to provincial administrator, Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, the governor revealed during the recent Provincial Development Council meeting that he will focus on repairs to the Panaad Stadium, promoting disaster preparedness, and improving road networks.
The Panaad is set to be the primary venue for Palarong Pambansa 2021, which will be held in Negros Occidental.
“We want to have a better venue for the Palaro,” Diaz said. “We will give priority to the renovation of the Panaad Stadium because our facilities are already dilapidated.”
Meanwhile, the other two priorities are geared towards the primary concerns of the Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict.
“This will eliminate the breeding grounds for discontentment and will give better access to the delivery of the basic services of the government,” the provincial official added./DGB, WDJ
