PRO-6 deploys additional augmentation forces for the holidays
By Dominique Gabriel G. Bañaga

Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) director, Police Colonel Henry Biñas, said the city is still considered safe despite recently-reported violent shooting incidents. In a press conference yesterday morning, the law enforcement official said the city still has the lowest crime rate among highly-urbanized cities across the country.
However, due to recent incidents, the city police chief said they will review and change deployment plans, especially with the holiday season underway.
“Compared to the crime records last year, there has been a significant drop in crime incidents in the city,” Biñas pointed out. “Even if you compare it with other cities our crime rate is still low.”
The police director added, they cannot guarantee they can maintain a “crimeless” city, but assured the public that law enforcement are doing their best to solve the criminal incidents they were unable to prevent.
Meanwhile, Biñas said Police Regional Office-6 has sent an additional 71 police officers to augment the city’s police force during the holiday season. He noted, they will deploy additional police officers to the city’s “crime-prone areas.”The city police chief added, he is hoping the additional police officers will be permanently assigned under the BCPO./DGB, WDJ
