The city’s garbage contractor, IPM Construction and Development Corporation (IPM-CDC), is advising the public to report garbage collectors who solicit for money during collection.
IPM-CDC project supervisor Daryl Abiol said they have received complaints surrounding garbage collectors soliciting money from local residents and they are now verifying the claims.
The IPM-CDC official pointed out, garbage collectors are not allowed to solicit as it violates the contract the company signed with the city government.
Abiol said complainants should take a picture of the garbage truck and note the time the incident took place before filing a formal complaint.
As for the number of complaints regarding uncollected garbage, he said the number has already started to decrease./DGB, WDJ
