Bacolod City named overall champions

Bacolod City, which competed in Palarong Panlalawigan 2019 as Area 7, was named overall champions earlier this week at the Manuel Y. Torres Sports Center in Bago City.
The track and field team finished with 15 gold, three silver, and five bronze medals.
Among the most recent wins include Julian Pranisa emerging as the fastest girl in Negros Occidental after topping the secondary girls’ 100-meter dash and earlier winning the 200-meter dash; Tristan Plotria scoring his second gold medal after taking the secondary boys’ 100-meter dash with Bryle Lianda finishing with a bronze; after earlier winning a gold medal, Ciara Largavista ruled the secondary girls’ 800-meter dash, while Reah Mae Cainoy bagged bronze.
Meanwhile, the Negros Occidental Private Schools Sports Cultural Educational Association (NOPSSCEA), which competed as Area 8, won gold in the secondary girls’ 4×100 meter relay with the team comprised of Antonette Jay and Krisha Aguillon, Dona Mae De Leon, and Bianca Seroy.
Among other winners, Antonette Jay, De Leon, and Ara Rahbea and Shalthea Delotavo finished with a silver in 4×400 meter relay; in addition, the Aguillon sisters won silver and bronze in the secondary girls’ 100-meter dash behind Pranisa./ASC, WDJ
