Ilonggo guard Juan Paolo Taha is hoping to lead NorthPort Batang Pier to the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup finals as they prepare to face Barangay Ginebra San Miguel in a best-of-five semifinal series beginning tonight at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
“Happy kami lahat na nanalo kami sa No. 1 seed (We are very happy to have earned the No. 1 seed),” said the Iloilo City native. “Maganda ang chemistry namin kaya maganda ang naging resulta ng game (We have good chemistry on the team, which resulted in a good result).”
“Ang laking bagay ng chemistry namin (Our chemistry is a big deal),” he added.
Taha credited Batang Pier head coach Alfredo Jarencio’s system and how helping Christian Standhardinger and Michael Qualls successfully transition into the squad./ASC, WDJ
