Program seeks to develop curricula
The US Embassy in the Philippines is seeking applicants for the 2020 Study of the US Institutes for Secondary Educators program, where those selected will participate in lectures, seminars, workshops, site visits, and cultural activities geared towards the history and evolution of US institutions and values.
Eligible candidates must be experienced secondary school teachers or administrators between the ages of 30 and 50, a citizen and resident of the Philippines, with professional English proficiency, little or no prior experience in the United States, and plans to incorporate elements pertaining to the US in their respective curricula.
“The focus of the ‘Institutes’ will be on providing content and materials for participants to develop high school level curricula about the United States,” the embassy stated on their website.
The program is set to run from May to July 2020.
