Tay Tung wins volleyball opener
Bacolod Tay Tung High School, which is representing the Negros Occidental Private Schools Sports Cultural Educational Association, recently opened the Palarong Panlalawigan 2019 secondary girls’ volleyball with a 25-7, 25-7 win over Area 1, comprised of San Carlos City, Escalante City, Calatrava, and Toboso, at the Montalbo Residence in Bacolod City.
“It was a good start for the team,” said Tay Tung said assistant coach Biboy Calamba. “All of the players were able to do the roles assigned to them.”
“But we cannot relax because other teams were tough as well, like Silay and Pontevedra,” he added.
In other results, Negros Occidental High School, which competing as Area 9, beat Area 6, comprised of Kabankalan City, Sipalay City, Cauayan, Candoni, Hinoba-an, and Ilog; Area 4, which is made up of Bago City, La Carlota City, Pulupandan, Valladolid, San Enrique, and Pontevedra, defeated Area 2, composed of Sagay City, Cadiz City, and Manapla; and Area 5, made up of Himamaylan City, Moises Padilla, La Castellana, Isabela, Hinigaran, and Binalbagan, pulled off a win over the Association of Negros Occidental Private Schools and School Administrators Inc., which plays as Area 10./ASC, WDJ
