Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia announced city employees, including appointed personnel, will each receive a total P40,000 in bonuses. The bonus includes collective negotiation agreement incentives amounting to P25,000, a productivity enhancement incentive of P5,000, and P10,000 in a service recognition incentive.
The mayor said a budget for the bonus will be submitted to the Sangguniang Panlungsod for approval.
City Budget Officer Maria Imelda Williams, who joined the mayor at the press conference, said the bonuses are the maximum allowable amount.
Meanwhile, Leonardia said job order workers are not included in the bonus and explained there is no basis in which they would be eligible.
He pointed out, previously, the city government provided salary increases for job order workers, saying, “It’s like a bonus that has been staggered.”/DGB, WDJ
