Bacolodnon guard Kirell ‘Kib’ Montalbo was drafted by TNT KaTropa as the 11th overall pick during the 2019 PBA Rookie Draft yesterday at the Robinsons Place Manila.
Montalbo, a former standout for St. John’s Institute and De La Salle University, is considered a solid pick and projected to add depth to their backcourt with defensive ability.
Other Bacolodnon players joining the PBA include Spencer Pretta, who was selected by the Phoenix Pulse Fuel Masters; while Jeramer Cabanag was picked by the NLEX Road Warriors.
The Columbian Dyip, who had first pick in both the special draft for the Philippine men’s national basketball team, Gilas Pilipinas, and the regular draft, selected George Isaac Go and Roosevelt Adams, respectively./ASC, WDJ
