Negrense players join this eekend’s PBA draft

Four Negrense hopefuls will be participating in this weekend’s 2019 PBA Rookie Draft, which kicks off on Sunday, December 8, at Robinsons Place Manila.
Three Bacolodnon players are expected for this weekend’s event, including former De La Salle University guard Kib Montalbo; former San Beda University point guard Jeramer Cabanag; and Spencer Pretta, a former Lyceum of the Philippines University standout.
In addition, Edgar Charcos of La Carlota City, who used to play for the University of the East and University of Perpetual Help System DALTA-Atlas, also submitted an application.
Meanwhile, Justin Alano, Simon Camacho, and Ilonggo player Yankie Haruna, who all currently play for Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League team, the Bacolod Master Sardines, will also be joining the PBA draft.
Prior to the PBA draft, a special draft for the Philippine men’s national basketball team, Gilas Pilipinas, where Isaac Go, Mike and Matt Nieto, Allyn Bulanadi, and Rey Suerte will be selected by the Columbian Dyip, Blackwater Elite, NLEX Road Warriors, Alaska Aces, and Rain or Shine Elasto Painters.
