Bacolod City lone district Rep. Greg Gasataya pledged to distribute cash incentives for Bacolodnon athletes who earn medals at the ongoing Southeast Asian Games.
The congressman said he will gather data on those who won medals after the games, which are scheduled to conclude on December 11.
However, he has yet to confirm an amount.
Meanwhile, the Bacolod City Sangguniang Panlungsod recently passed a resolution congratulating Michael Angelo Marquez and his wife Stephanie Sabalo for winning gold and silver medals in the SEA Games dancesport event.
The pair captured medals in the Latin dance category, scoring gold in the paso doble and five dance, along with a silver in jive. /DGB, WDJ
