One of the two suspects was arrested and another remained at-large after they stabbed and hacked their neighbor around 9:15 in the evening Thursday at Purok 18 in Cauayan’s Barangay Inayawan.

Cauayan Police Station OIC, Police Major Lowell Garinganao, identified the the suspects as Jorge Alarcon Magbanua and James Paul Sapinit, both 24, single, and residents of the said place.

Meanwhile, the victim, Ross Moncatar Tolentino, 32, single and resident of the said place, sustained stab and hack wounds in different parts of his body and was found dead on the road.

Tolentino was rushed to Cauayan District Hospital in Barangay Isio but was declared dead-on- arrival by attending physician Dr. Nieves Roca at around 12:20 in the morning yesterday.

Police is still investigating the incident to determine the motive./WDJ
