According to Negros Occidental provincial administrator, Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, the Provincial Engineer’s Office (PEO) has not yet submitted their report on the status of the province’s major infrastructure projects.
“We will deal with it as soon as the PEO submits their report,” he said.
Among the major projects include the Negros First Food Terminal and the Mambukal Convention Hotel and the Capitol Multipurpose Building, the provincial official pointed out.
“They are covered by contracts; it should not have been a problem for the provincial government,” Diaz pointed out. “It should have taken care of itself but we are now the ones troubleshooting.”
He also appealed for the contractors of the projects in question to “finish them as soon as possible.”
