At least P3.2 million worth of suspected shabu was seized Wednesday night during a buy-bust operation against a high-value drug target at Purok Lison in Bacolod City’’s Barangay 1.
Police identified the arrested suspect as 26-year-old Arlene Arnaiz, a resident of Purok Tilapia in the city’s Barangay 3.
Police Station 8 (PS8) commander, Police Major Charles Gever, said they are verifying information that claims Arnaiz is a member of a drug group based in northern Negros.
Arnaiz is also reportedly active in selling illegal drugs in neighboring towns and cities and had been under surveillance by police for several weeks.
Authorities recovered three plastic bags of suspected shabu from the suspect with an estimated weight of 270 grams, suspected drug proceeds amounting to P3,000, and the P5,000 buy-bust money.
