The Department of Labor and Employment-Western Visayas (DOLE-6) yesterday reminded employers in the region to provide their employers with a 13th month bonus.
DOLE-6 Director Cyril Ticao said the bonus should be given on or before December 25.
He pointed out, under Presidential Decree No. 851, all employers are required to give their workers 13th month pay regardless of their type of employment.
Ticao also encouraged local workers to visit their nearest DOLE office if their employer refuses to give a 13th month bonus./DGB, WDJ
