Negros Occidental third district Rep. Francisco Benitez said he hopes to see Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections standardized after 2022. “They deserve full term,” he said when asked about the postponement of the polls.
The Barangay and SK elections were moved to December 5, 2022.
President Rodrigo Duterte signed the law postponing the elections earlier this week.
The elections have twice been postponed, initially moving from October 2016 to October 2017, then from October 2017 to May 2018./DGB, WDJ
