The home owned by the Sipalay City legal officer, Atty. Elmer Balbin, located in the city’s Barangay 2, was shot at late Tuesday night by unidentified gunmen.
Sipalay City police, said based on their initial investigations, four gunmen aboard two motorcycles stopped in front of the house and opened fire.
The suspects then sped towards the city’s Barangay Pana-on.
No one was hurt in the attack as the lawyer and his family were not home at the time of the incident.
Police recovered 11 empty .40 caliber shells from the crime scene, along with one empty 12-gauge shotgun cartridge.
Sipalay City police are still looking into the motive behind the attack./DGB, WDJ
