The Philippine men’s volleyball team scored a 29-27, 25-17, 25-17 straight-set victory over Cambodia in the ongoing Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) earlier this week at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.
Marck Espejo tallied 21 points off 16 attacks, four aces, and a block for the Philippines; while Bryan Bagunas added 14 points; and Joshua Retamar finished with 15 excellent sets, 11 points, along with six of the team’s 17 kill blocks.
“For me po, ginawa ko lang po ‘yung part ko, ‘yung tinuro po sa akin ni coach, lalo na po sa blockings (For me, I just did my part and followed what the coach taught us, especially with blocking),” said Retamar.
