The Bacolod City Permits and Licensing Division issued a clarification yesterday surrounding the recent closure of three hotel establishments in the city. City Permits and Licensing Division head Stela Rose Rayos explained the closure of the MO2 Westown Hotel-San Juan, Bacolod Pension Plaza, and Rainbow Pension House were not connected to the Java Pension House fire, which took place last week.
She explained, the closure was due to the three establishments’ failure to secure business permits.
The city official affirmed they followed due process in releasing the closure order and had earlier given the establishments in question an extension to secure business permits; however, they still failed to secure the proper documents.
Rayos advised the owners of the three establishments to secure business permits to avoid any future inconvenience./DGB, WDJ
