Department of Agrarian Reform-Region VI (DAR-6) director, Atty. Sheila Enciso, recently signed a memorandum of understanding with Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) director, Police Colonel Romeo Baleros, and Philippines Army 303rd Infantry Brigade commander, Brigadier General Benedict Arevalo, in an effort to reinforce partnership and collaboration between the DAR provincial office, police, and army.
Beginning last August, DAR-Negros Occidental mobilized coordination with the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine National Police to assist with issues and concerns surrounding agrarian reform beneficiaries.
Several conferences, seminars, and trainings have also been conducted both at the provincial and field level to ensure social justice and amity in rural communities.
The agreement highlighted the different roles and responsibilities of each participating party./DGB, WDJ
