PHL men’s beach volley team wins

The Philippine Men’s National Beach Volleyball Team got to a winning start in the 30th Southeast Asian Games men’s beach volleyball yesterday at the Subic Tennis Court.

James Buytrago and Jaron Requinton drew first blood for the Filipinos with a 21-13, 21-16 win over Timor Leste 1’s Robson Xavier and Christian Jean.

Jude Garcia and Edmar Bonono followed this up by romping Silvano Aduauo and Denyanos Belo of Timor Leste 2, 21-7, 21-16.

The Buytrago-Requinton and Garcia-Bonono tandems will return to action on Sunday afternoon against Malaysia./ASC, WDJ
