San Miguel-Alab Pilipinas leaned on the exploits of Khalif Wyatt to score a come-from-behind 114-110 overtime win over Foshan Wolf Warriors in the ASEAN Basketball League on Wednesday night in Foshan, China.
Wyatt towed his squad from 10 points down to barge into the win column following a tough season opener against Mono Vampire of Thailand.
The American reinforcement finished the match with 24 points, with 17 coming in the fourth quarter and overtime, on top of seven assists and six rebounds for the Alab Pilipinas.
Jordan Heading chipped in 27 while Jason Brickman delivered the goods with 14 markers, 12 assists and seven rebounds for the Philippine squad.
Alab were down 75-85 with over five minutes in the regulation before Heading forced overtime. In the extension, the Philippines trailed 100-103, before Wyatt’s triples book-ended a 10-2 run that put them ahead, 110-105.
Douglas Herring and Steven Thomas pulled the Wolf Warriors to within 110-112, before Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser and Brickman completed the comeback with the former going for a chasedown block and the latter converting a high looper./ASC,WDJ
