The municipal government of Don Salvador Benedicto is looking for a five-hectare lot for planned town center.
Mayor Marxlen Dela Cruz on Monday said the current town center is already “limited for the development the municipality needed.”
Dela Cruz said that he is “losing hope that the proposed township bill currently pending in Congress will be passed.”
The bill was initially filed by former Representative Julio Ledesma III of the first district then resubmitted by former Rep. Melecio Yap but failed passage.
Dela Cruz said the new town center will host the municipal hall, a plaza, a public market, and a terminal.
He added that the municipal government is open for land donations./DGB, WDJ
