Eleven grams of suspected shabu was recovered from two drug suspects in a buy-bust operation conducted by members of the Roxas City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit around 11:00 p.m. on Monday in Roxas City’s Barangay. Banica.

Roxas City Police Office spokesperson, Master Sergeant Ramil Arcangeles, indentified the suspects as Anthony Asiatico, 32, and Jesa Acutillar, 21, both residents of the said city.

Arcangeles said that Asiatico was already arrested twice for selling shabu, but those cases were dismissed by the court.

“Asiatico was placed under surveillance for more than three weeks before we staged the operation,” he added.

The suspects were detained at the Roxas City locked-up cell and will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Asiatico will also face charges for violation of Republic Act 10591 or Violation of unlicensed firearm and live ammunition./WDJ
