
One thousand one hundred ninety (1,190) Police Commissioned Officers (PCO) and Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCO) from Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) were promoted to the next rank yesterday at Camp Delgado in Iloilo City.
PRO-6 Chief of Staff, Police Colonel Marlon A. Tayaba, administered the oath-taking and led the pinning of rank insignias of the newly promoted police officers.
“I express my heartfelt congratulations to the newly promoted police officers in the region, our rank is not just a decoration; our rank symbolizes responsibilities, the higher you go up the ladder the higher the responsibilities, ” said Tayaba.
Among the 1,190 newly promoted police officers, 43 were PCOs and 1,147 were PNCOs.
The 43 PCOs include 25 police lieutenant colonels, 5 police majors and 13 police captains.
Moreover, the 1,147 PNCOs comprise 231 Police Executive Master Sergeants, 148 Police chief master sergeants, 72 police staff master sergeants, 100 police master sergeants, 440 police staff sergeants and 156 police corporals.
The pinning and donning of ranks were attended by the families of the newly promoted officers./WDJ
