Three earthquakes were detected across the Western Visayas over the weekend.
According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), a 2.3-magnitude quake struck south of Anini-y on Saturday morning, around 4:12 a.m.
Last month, the Antique town was also struck by two earthquakes, one measuring 3.7 in magnitude and the other a 3.0.
In addition, a 1.9-magnitude tremor was recorded south of Moises Padilla around 1:03 p.m. on Saturday.
Meanwhile, yesterday morning, a 2.5-magnitude quake was detected south of Iloilo City around 4:52 a.m.
A subsequent Phivolcs bulletin reported no damages or aftershocks as a result of the seismic activity.
Quakes ranging between 1.0 and 3.0 in magnitude are often classified as a Level 1 on the Mercalli Intensity Scale, where the tremor goes almost undetected./WDJ
