With Ilonggo guard Kiefer Ravena earlier named to the Philippine men’s national basketball team, Gilas Pilipinas, ahead of the 2019 Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games), which is hosted by the Philippines this year and scheduled to formally run from November 30 to December 11, the NLEX Road Warriors player is set to compete in his fifth SEA Games.
In each of his previous appearances, Ravena earned a medal.
Joining him on the squad are LA Tenorio, Japeth Aguilar, and Stanley Pringle of Barangay Ginebra San Miguel; June Mar Fajardo, Chris Ross, and Marcio Lassiter of the San Miguel Beermen; TNT KaTropa’s Roger Pogoy and Jeth Troy Rosario; Vic Manuel of the Alaska Aces; Christian Standhardinger of NorthPort Batang Pier; and Matthew Wright of the Phoenix Pulse Fuel Masters.
The current squad is the first “all-pro” team to represent the Philippines in SEA Games basketball, where the country has ruled 17 out of the 19 editions of the biennial meet./ASC, WDJ
