A 19-year-old male student was arrested Wednesday night after he allegedly sexually assaulted a 19-year-old female in a subdivision in Bacolod City.
Police have requested anonymity for both the suspect and the victim.
Bacolod City Police Office-Women and Children’s Protection Desk chief, Police Lieutenant Arlene Torendon, said both the suspect and the victim were drinking at a restaurant located along Burgos Street.
When the victim reportedly became dizzy, she told the suspect that she wanted to go home. The suspect reportedly accompanied the victim to her home, which was where the sexual assault occured.
A follow-up operation was carried out by police on Thursday, which resulted in the suspect’s arrest after the victim also positively identified him.
The victim has since undergone a medical examination but police have refused to release the details./DGB, WDJ
