Corazon Lo, owner and founder of the Negros Grace Pharmacy chain, yesterday revealed she has been barred entry to her own office as well all retail branches. During a press conference yesterday, she said it pains her and is saddened by the situation.
She is currently in a legal dispute with her two sons, Ian and Theodore, after the chain was reportedly under negotiation for acquisition by Ayala Healthcare Holdings Inc.
Lo said she appealed to the security guard to allow her to enter her office but was refused entry. The company founder said she tried four times but continued to be turned down.
She said she tried reaching out to her sons but there was no reply.
Lo has since filed a case before the Regional Trial Court against Ian, Ma. Paz Lo, Theodore, Sheila Lo, Negros Grace Pharmacy Inc., Solomon Drug Corporation, Samuel Drug Corporation, Steveston Drug Corporation, Negros Grace Pharmacy’s corporate secretary, and Ayala Healthcare Holdings Inc.
Through the case, she requested a temporary restraining order/writ of preliminary injunction and is seeking to nullify deeds of assignment and sale, along with agreements; the cancellation of stock certificates; and compensation for damages.
“I am just fight for my rights as a mother and owner of the company,” Lo affirmed. “I am still in my right, it was my decision.”
However, she is still hoping for a reconciliation with her sons.
Lo said she is currently supported by another son, Jonathan./DGB, WDJ
