The Bacolod City Legal Office (CLO) has reportedly closed down a restaurant located along the city’s 17th Lacson Street after it was discovered that they were allegedly serving alcoholic beverages to minors.
Based on information provided by officials from the CLO, they ceased Akasya Grill’s operation after they received complaints of minors drinking alcoholic beverages and smoking inside the restaurant.
The City Permits and Licensing Division then carried out an investigation, and later forwarded their findings and recommendations.
It was also noted that the Bacolod City Police Office-Women and Children Protection Desk had also rescued several minors in the premises during one of their saturation drives last September.
The management of Akasya Grill has yet to comment over the allegations and the CLO’s closure order./DGB, WDJ
