The Central Negros Electric Cooperative Inc. (Ceneco) announced November residential rates have dropped by 30¢, down from P9.7008 per kilowatt hour (kWh) last month to P9.4019/kWh.
According to a release from the utility co-op, 22¢ of the fluctuation were illustrated in reductions in generation charges, transmission charges, and system loss.
Meanwhile, marginal easing was exhibited in lifeline and senior citizen subsidies; adjustments to the generation rate adjustment mechanism, which the National Power Corporation uses to recover deferred fuel costs; and the value-added tax./WDJ
