Alaska secures Governors’ Cup quarterfinals berth

The Alaska Aces secured the final spot in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup quarterfinals following their 106-90 victory over the NLEX Road Warriors last night at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City.
Franko House tallied 24 points for Alaska; while Abu Tratter, Jvee Casio, and Kevin Racal each scored 12.
The Road Warriors had a strong start and were up 14-7 when the Aces answered with a run behind Simon Enciso and Robbie Herndon to seize a 33-23 advantage.
The lead grew to 20 points in the second following inside hits from House. Alaska’s advantage later stretched to 22.
The Aces finished the elimination round with a 5-6 win-loss record tied NorthPort Batang Pier. Alaska enters the payoffs in seventh place, forcing NorthPort down to number eight./WDJ
