The Police Regional Office-6 (PRO-6) yesterday conferred both the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) and Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) with awards during a ceremony at Camp Alfredo Montelibano, Sr. in Bacolod City. The law enforcement units were recognized for being in compliance with the performance governance system, which is a framework intended to implement long-term reforms.
Negros Occidental saw seven local government units rate above 90 percent; while four Bacolod City police stations garnered ratings of over 90 percent.
PRO-6 deputy regional director, newly-promoted Police Brigadier General Remus Zacharias Canieso, led the ceremonies alongside NOPPO director, Police Colonel Romeo Baleros, and BCPO director, Police Colonel Henry Biñas.
Canieso, reading a message on behalf of PRO-6 director, Police Brigadier General Rene Pamuspusan, told police units that transforming the Philippine National Police is “not only possible but inevitable” and, with their efforts, they will finish strong./DGB, WDJ
