The Department of Tourism (DOT) and World Food Expo Philippines will be bringing “Fun Food Talks” to Bacolod City with an event this weekend, November 16, at the Negros Residences, located at the corner of North Capitol Drive and Gatuslao Street.
The event will feature a panel of chefs, moderated by Margarita Forés, founder of the Cibo chain of restaurants. According to DOT, the panel is comprised of “global chefs who have raised the level of Filipino cuisine on the world stage.”
The panelists include Tom Cunanan, who won the James Beard award this year for Best Chef: Mid-Atlantic; television personality, comedian, and actor Lanai Tabura; and Charles Olalia, chef and co-owner of Ma’am Sir, a Filipino restaurant and bar in Los Angeles.
Prior to arriving in Bacolod City, Cunanan and Tabura took part in a “Fun Food Talks” event in Pampanga./WDJ
