NU-Nazareth School wins Game 1

The Nazareth School of National University (NU-Nazareth School) opened the 82nd girls’ volleyball finals with a 25-13, 25-17, 25-23 sweep over Adamson University at the San Juan Arena.
Alyssa Solomon top-scored for NU-Nazareth School with 22 points, 11 of whiche came in the third set; while Evangeline Alinsug added 16 markers on 12 spikes, three service aces, and a block; Guimarasnon setter Camilla Lamina delivered 18 excellent sets; and Negrense libero Shaira Jardio contributed 18 digs and 18 receptions.
“I appreciate lahat ng efforts ng team (I appreciate all the effort by the team),” said NU-Nazareth School coach Regine Diego. “Sa ngayon we are just playing all heart (Right now, we are playing all-heart).”
“We are just very grateful to be here,” she added.
Meanwhile, NU-Nazareth School also took Game 1 of the boys’ tournament, scoring a 25-21, 20-25, 25-19, 25-18 victory over Far Eastern University-Diliman. /ASC, WDJ
