Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson and Candoni Mayor Cicero Borromeo led the recent groundbreaking for a P50 million market.
The governor said a “good and convenient public market” is necessary for a town as it serves as “the center of economic activity that will lead to more improvement.”
Once completed, the project will include a wet market with 64 stalls, 100 dry goods stalls, and 12 mixed-use rental stalls.
Also present for the event were Negros Occidental provincial administrator, Atty. Rayfrando Diaz II; Provincial Engineer Ernie Mapa; Candoni Vice Mayor Loriemae Gargara; among others./WDJ
