Five Ceres FC players called up for tonight’s clash with the Maldives

Five Ceres-Negros FC players were recently called up by the Philippine men’s national football team, the Azkals, as they are set to play the Maldives tonight at the Maldives National Football Stadium in the second round of the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification rounds.
Among the busmen called to national duty include midfielders Mike Ott and Stephan Schröck, defenders Sean Kane and Carli de Murga, and striker OJ Porteria.
The Azkals are coming off a 0-0 draw against China and are currently third in Group A behind Syria and China. Prior to the draw, the Philippines scored one win and one loss after a 4-1 victory over Guam but falling 5-2 to Syria in their opening match.
Also making the roster are Patrick Deyto, Neil Etheridge, Michael Falkesgaard, Amani Aguinaldo, Mikel Baas, Alvaro Silva, Daisuke Sato, Martin Steuble, Edison Suerti, Luke Woodland, Yrick Gallantes, Angel Guirado, Marco Casambre, Iain Ramsay, John Patrick Strauss, Curt Jordan Dizon, Mark Hartmann, and Patrick Reichelt.
According to Azkals head coach Goran Milojević, the same squad will be fielded when they meet Syria again next week, November 19, in Dubai, UAE./ASC, WDJ
