Dagyang sa Calle Real kicks off on January 25

The Iloilo Festivals Foundation Inc. recently announced the Dagyang sa Calle Real, an event of the annual Iloilo Dinagyang Festival, will take place on January 25.
“It will be a friendly competition,” said Dagyang-in-charge Phillipp Chua. “We will award the Darling of the Crowd, Best in Costume, and Best in Performance.”
“We want it open to the public,” he added. “We want visitors to join and enjoy, not just spectators.”
The sadsad streetdancing competition will provide a P300,000 subsidy to each of the nine participating barangay-based tribes./WDJ
