The days of evil are upon us

“…Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock…” –Matthew 7:24-25

According to 2 Timothy 3:1-3, the time is when wickedness is abound is fast approaching; “Where people will be lovers of themselves, without love (for other men), not lovers of the good.” Observing close surroundings, it should be apparent that is happening now—the days of evil are indeed upon us.
This was displayed over the weekend when my family visited a restaurant along Katipunan Avenue in Quezon City. As we approached the restaurant, a woman was parked in front of the eatery waiting for the driver of a Toyota Land Cruiser, which was blocking her way. After finishing lunch, which was about an hour, we noticed she was still in the same spot. She eventually managed to call the police to assist her; however, they failed to provide any assistance as they were unable to locate the driver of the Land Cruiser.
I didn’t stick around to see how the story unfolded but, however it ended, the driver of the Land Cruiser is someone who has discarded good manners and right conduct. Rude and “unmannered,” they knew they were blocking the way and are completely unperturbed. This would make anyone angry—it made me angry—but, come to think of it, that is how many Filipinos (and foreigners who live in the Philippines) behave. Nowadays, they are brash and without regard for their fellow human being.
The country is witnessing discourtesy among many. Filipinos (and foreigners alike) only care about themselves and their needs and wants are their only consideration. The minds of these people are being controlled by the devil; it is why they have no respect for the rights of others.
The Bible talked about this eventual occurrence. During the end of times, evil acts will be committed by many, particularly those against other people. Be that as it may, what I consider the more important matter is questioning why the Bible made such a prophecy. There is only one reason, many Filipinos (and foreigners) grew up without God in their lives. They did not have any instruction on or about the Word and commands of God. They were not taught by their parents, teachers, friends, peers, or other relations and associates, to fear and love God in their hearts.
They never came to know God so they do not honored, thank, or glorify Him. They do not have any knowledge of God and are unaware (or deliberately unmindful) of the second greatest command, one that would allow them to enjoy power, victory, and prosperity—love their neighbors as they love themselves.
