An P80,000 reward has been offered for whoever can provide information leading to the arrest of the suspects involved in the rape and murder of a 10-year-old girl last week in Murcia’s Barangay San Miguel.
Murcia municipal police chief, Police Major Robert Dejucos, said the local barangay council provided the P50,000 reward, while Murcia Mayor Gerry Rojas added an additional P30,000.
The local law enforcement official called the reward a “big help” in solving the case and admitted encountering difficulties in trying to identify the suspects.
He added, they invited two persons of interest to their station but they are still waiting for DNA test results before identifying those responsible.
Last week, the girl identified only as ‘Kim’ was found dead in a sugarcane field.
An autopsy revealed she sustained damage to her kidney as a result of a supposed rape, along with damage to her liver and broken ribs.
They also found an injury to her ears, along with victim’s neck showing signs of forced asphyxiation./DGB, WDJ
