Kaya FC draws Stallion Laguna, tops Group B

Kaya FC-Iloilo finished the 2019 Copa Paulino Alcántara group stage atop Group B following their 1-1 draw with Stallion Laguna FC yesterday at the Biñan Football Stadium in Laguna. The two clubs ended the round tied on points but the Ilonggo outfit carried a superior goal difference.
After a scoreless first half, Negrense midfielder Jayson Panhay made it 1-0 for Kaya FC in the 59th minute. However, Stallion defender Kouichi Belgira found the equalizer with a 73rd minute free kick.
Both clubs advance to the semifinals, which are scheduled to commence on Sunday, November 10.
The two automatically earned berths after Stallion Laguna earlier booted Philippine Air Force FC from the competition with a 2-1 victory Aboitiz Pitch in Lipa City, Batangas./ASC, WDJ
