Ceres FC, Kaya close out the group stage today

Ceres-Negros FC and Kaya FC-Iloilo both close out the 2019 Copa Paulino Alcántara group stage today with aims to win their respective groups. Ceres is currently tied atop Group A with Mendiola FC, while Kaya FC holds a goal difference advantage over Stallion Laguna FC in Group B.
The Bacolod City-based club will take to the pitch at 7:00 p.m. against Green Archers United at the Aboitiz Pitch in Lipa City, Batangas; while defending cup champions Kaya FC meet Stallion Laguna FC at 4:00 p.m. at the Biñan Football Stadium in Laguna.
Ceres is guaranteed the top spot if they win and Mendiola draws or loses against the Philippine men’s U-22 national football team. In Group B, both sides have already secured semifinal berths but whoever wins may impact the first and second rankings; however, if they draw, Kaya takes first place.
